What is Digital IPD?
Digital IPD is bedside clinical documentation software for hospital inpatient wards. Nurses and doctors record vitals, notes, orders and consents on a tablet at the patient’s bed. The pharmacy order, the running bill, the discharge summary and the NABH audit trail are generated from that same entry instead of being written again.
Will my nurses actually use it?
They use it on day one. The form on the tablet is the paper form they already fill in — same layout, same boxes, same order. There is nothing new to learn, which is why adoption does not stall the way it does with a general-purpose EMR.
Do I have to replace my existing HMS or HIS?
No. If you already run Caresoft HIS, Digital IPD runs natively — the bedside simply becomes part of the system you have. If you run something else, it works alongside it.
How is this different from other bedside or EMR apps?
Most apps save the note and stop. Digital IPD writes the note and does what comes next: orders the medicine, posts it to the bill, builds the discharge summary, files it for audit. With other tools the note still has to reach the system that does all that. Here there is nothing to reach — it is already there.
How long does it take to go live?
